First off I want to say awesome interview!

I love whyami and have been to JPs site, he really knows his stuff…

I had a quick question for you guys if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I’ve had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted just trying to figure out how to begin.

    Any suggestions or tips? Cheers!

    Hi Velda,

First and foremost, I stay as open as possible to inspiration. I believe that topics are all around me. All I have to do is trust in that and they consistently present themselves.

As for as centering is concerned, I allow myself time to live with an idea before I write about it. I select a topic, research it and then wait awhile prior to putting “pen to paper”. By doing so, my creativity and inspiration cooperate in the writing process. Also, I find that meditating, spending quiet time in a natural setting and walking are excellent techniques for stimulating my creative process.

I hope this helps. Be well!
